Local Information
Walton On The Naze -- It was early probably early 19th Century when Walton really became known as a seaside resort. In those days it is likely that people from the district were the main visitors to the seaside town.

As its popularity grew Walton began to rival many other seaside towns. The railway and the building of the pier provided much for the expansion of the town, Walton became quite popular in Victorian times.

Walton today is seen as a traditional seaside town. There are some wonderful walks and nature reserves, the second longest pier in Britain and miles of golden sandy beaches.
